Farewell and Introduction

Dear Equator Net members!

As you may have heard, Nina Kantcheva has decided to move on from the Equator Initiative secretariat after more than two years to pursue new career opportunities. We will truly miss her unique spirit and are thankful for her creativity and continuous commitment in encouraging a dialogue between our Equator Prize finalist communities and friends. We wish Nina well with her new endeavors and are very happy we were able to have her on our team. Nina will remain a close working partner, and, of course, remains a member of the Equator Net.

At the same time I would like to give a warm welcome to Gaby Tobler who will take on the administration of the Equator Net. Gaby has been working with the Equator Initiative since February 2006 and is excited to take on this new opportunity. Please do not hesitate to contact her at gabriela.tobler@undp.org if you have specific suggestions as to how the Equator Net should be managed or enhanced, and if you have specific news bits that might be interesting for other Equator Net members.
